Some of our recent work:

Secure WAN infrastructure Design and Deployment:
Worldwide Infrastructure Rebuild
One of the largest U.S. federal dapartments needed to integrate multiple overlapping WAN infrastructures to allow 'secure' collaboration and information sharing.  The requirements definition found that the new network needed multiple integrated WAN carrier services to provide the required reliability and survivability.  We developed the initial concept of operations, completed the infrastructure design and assisted with selection of carriers for the new infrastructure.  Implementation is in process.

Results: The three year effort resulted in a solution that provided the required security, reliability and survivability with an ongoing cost reduction of about 30%

Voice over IP (VOIP) Telephony Access:
We are assisting small and large firms with the design and implmentation of VOIP based telephone system access services which allow twice the number of calls to be carried on a single T-1.  Calls are not sent over the Internet! They still carried over normal (TDM) local and long facilities.  Only the access method changes.

Results:
  • Cost for  access to  local and long distance  telephone service cut in half
  • Free calls to other similarlly connected sites

Secure Extranet
Design & Implmentation
Secure external access to DoD Agency systems required the implementation of a highly secure Extranet.  The engagment included: determining operational and technical requirements, developing the design and managing the implmentation - pilot testing and deployment .

Results: "In Budget and On time" solution that provided secure external access to selected 'partners'.

Systems & Services Procurement
Corporate Services
Managed the worldwide telecommunications purchasing activities for a very large multinational corporation for a one year period during their development of a final organizational solution.

Results: On-time solutions with new or revised agreements that are saving the corporation millions of dollars.

Site Services
Design, Selection and Implementation management of integrated telephony, wiring, LAN and WAN systems for various companies and organizations.

Capability to add or expand services at minimal cost.
Ability to reassign physical services in facilities within minutes.

Marketing & Design
Product Development
Developed functional specifications including feature lists, Feature interaction controls and external processor interface requirements for specific vertical market for large manufacturer and distributor of telecommunications systems. Design specifications provided for three development phases to allow quick development with rapid enhancements follow-on.

Results: Wider product acceptance and increased market share.

Market Opportunity Definition
Assisted with definition of target sector within specific vertical market including assessment of current providers, vendor name recognition and buyer's purchase criteria.

Result: Vendor found sufficient opportunity to establish a vertical sales channel for that market

Audit Services
Financial and Operations
